Over the years of doing retreats, we got the idea to create this book from the many retreat leaders and participants who have enjoyed our cooking and asked for the ingredients. From it's original idea of a cookbook, it quickly evolved into a Handbook with much more than just recipes! With health and wellness tips, yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices, this book presents guidance and an opportunity to shift into long-lasting positive habits. With nutritional information, insights, and a little bit of history it's fun to read and keeps you interested! The I SAVED A LIFE Foundation helps to provide healthy living and better education for refugees. Nearly 32 million refugees worldwide are deprived of basic resources like education, proper nutrition, and the means to live a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, local communities living side by side with refugee settlements are often living in similar conditions.
This Foundation is on a mission to change that and the journey has begun by supporting Tibetan refugees in India and adjacent rural communities with health, nutrition and education.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Born in Northern California, Molly Vogel is inspired by health, wellbeing, and pleasure. She focuses on gratitude and is interested in sculpting the mind and body we're each given into the way that allows us to each feel great and at ease. She values personal evolution and growth and exploring the light and the shadows and learning from them.
From receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Gender & Feminist Studies and Studio Art in 2007, a Culinary Arts Degree in 2009, Molly worked as a chef in many restaurants in Northern California and studied much about nutrition, diets, natural health, and healing with food.In 2011 she attended her first of three Yoga Teacher Trainings with Ana Forrest which launched her on a new path.
Up until 2018 when she moved to Spain, Molly taught yoga full-time in California.
She now loves living in Southern Spain organizing and leading retreats with Lucia Yoga, teaching yoga in her online platform, and learning Spanish.
